The Zen Faux Wool Gong Mallet is built around a soft, plush faux wool head designed to draw the gentlest, warmest tones out of a gong. The soft head construction lets the strike sink deeply into the instrument rather than impacting its surface sharply, which coaxes out the gong's lower fundamental tones and produces a rounded, enveloping voice with minimal upper overtones or harsh edges. That makes this mallet an exceptional choice for soft attacks, slow-build introductions, quiet meditative passages, and any moment in a session where the gong needs to whisper rather than speak. It is especially well suited to sound therapy sessions, meditation, gong baths, savasana and yoga nidra work, sleep and relaxation programs, and any setting where warmth, softness, and emotional safety take priority over volume and presence.

The handle is turned from a single piece of light hardwood, balanced for extended play and comfortable in the hand across longer sessions.
