The Large Zen Faux Wool Gong Mallet is built around an oversized soft, plush wool head designed to draw the deepest, warmest tones out of a gong. The larger head construction adds meaningful weight and surface area to the strike, letting the mallet sink even more fully into the instrument than its smaller counterpart and producing a richer, fuller voice with sustained low-end resonance. The strike still lands gently thanks to the soft fleece surface, but the added mass behind it brings out the gong's deepest fundamental tones with real authority, making this mallet ideal for medium and large gongs where a smaller mallet might fail to fully activate the instrument.
