Seven brass bowls, etched with the symbols of the seven chakras and tuned to a complete octave from C3 to B3. The set carries the same chakra progression as its lower-octave counterpart, but in a higher register, opening with the warm, focused voice of the root bowl and rising into the bright, airy clarity of the crown. The result is a tuned scale that moves through the chakras with a lighter, more luminous character.
Bringing seven hammered metal bowls into a clean full scale is its own kind of craft. Metal sings with a wide, layered overtone signature, and shaping seven of those voices to land on related notes, hold their intervals, and still blend when played together asks more from the maker than a single bowl ever does. What you get on the other side is rare: the structure and musicality of a tuned scale paired with the warm, resonant character that draws people to metal bowls in the first place.
For chakra-based work, the third octave brings a different feel to the same progression. The lower bowls carry warm, present tones for root and sacral sessions without the deep weight of the second octave, the middle bowls sit in a clear, articulate range well-suited to solar plexus and heart work, and the upper bowls open into bright, almost crystalline voices for throat, third eye, and crown. The higher register also makes the set easier to travel with and easier to layer into sessions where space, volume, or portability is a consideration. Move through the set in order for a guided progression, sound bowls in pairs to build harmonic relationships, or layer the full set into a resonant wash of tone.
All seven bowls are cast and hammered from brass, a metal long prized in instrument making for its warm, full-bodied voice. The etched chakra symbols give the set a clear visual identity, useful in client sessions where the connection between bowl and chakra benefits from being seen, not just heard.
Because this set is tuned across a single octave, several of the bowls fall close to each other in diameter. Some bowls in the set may not nest perfectly inside one another and may need to be transported and stored individually.
This set comes with a carrying case, felt orings for each bowl, a felt mallet, and a pair of suede wrapped wood strikers.
