The Premium Etched style of the Zen Vedic Series uses precision laser etching to bring intricate Buddhist and Hindu artwork to bronze in a way that's nearly impossible to achieve by hand. The detail is fine, consistent, and elaborate, and each bowl carries that artwork alongside the warm, sustained voice the Vedic Series is built around.
The result is a bowl that earns a second look before you ever strike it, and a third one after you do. Whether it lives on an altar, finds its way into session work, or sits where it can simply be looked at, a Premium Etched bowl carries its presence in both directions, what you see and what you hear.
Etched Design
This Premium Etched Zen Vedic Series bowl features a wrathful protector deity at the center of the inside, his three eyes, flaming brows, bared fangs, and crown of skulls rendered against a finely stippled ground in the fierce, guardian form traditionally associated with Mahakala, the great protector of the dharma. Encircling the deity is a ring of round mandala medallions, alternating between concentric bands of Tibetan and Sanskrit mantra script, radiant spiral medallions centered on a single watching eye, and seed-syllable disks, all separated by delicate floral flourishes. The outside of the bowl is anchored by a central Om syllable set within a radiating lotus and ringed by mantra script, flanked by full Sri Yantra medallions and crowned with endless knots, while smaller Om disks and a decorative border complete the lower body. Together, the iconography brings the fierce protective presence of Mahakala into dialogue with the all-seeing eye, the sacred geometry of the Sri Yantra, and the seed sound of Om, a bowl that layers Vajrayana protection, Vedic geometry, and the syllable of creation across a single continuous surface of prayer.
About the Zen Vedic Series
This Premium Etched Zen Vedic Series bowl features a fierce Mahakala-style protector deity at the center of the inside, rendered with flame-like hair, a third eye, and bared fangs, surrounded by smaller crowned skull motifs, with eye-of-awareness medallions and Om symbols framed by Tibetan mantra script anchoring the upper walls. The outside of the bowl is wrapped in lotus-set Om medallions alternating with Sri Yantra mandalas in four-gated palace frames, accented with endless knot motifs. At the base, a large vibrational mandala sits opposite a Sri Yantra rendered within its own palace mandala. Together, the iconography brings the watchful presence of the wrathful protector into dialogue with the all-seeing eye, the seed sound of Om, and the cosmic geometry of the Sri Yantra, a bowl that draws on the fiercer traditions of Tibetan Buddhism alongside Vedic devotion.
