A cast bowl finished with tightly spaced, precise hammer marks. These are made to be struck rather than sung. The thicker walls and wider profile give a clean, bell-like tone with a long, even decay and far less of the overtone wash a hand-hammered bowl produces. Rest it on a cushion and strike the outside with the included wood mallet: near the rim for a brighter attack, lower on the body for a rounder, deeper tone.

Because these are cast from brass and machine-finished, the wall thickness barely varies. The tone is clean and predictable, bowls of the same size ring close enough in pitch to buy as a matched set, and you can add to your collection later knowing a new bowl will sit properly alongside the ones you already own.
